Premier’s Teacher Scholarships

Applications are invited from teachers in Government, Catholic or Independent Schools and TAFE NSW Institutes across New South Wales for the 2015 Premier's Teacher Scholarships to undertake a five week study tour in one of the available scholarship categories.

Generous sponsorship from various supporters means the scholarships now encompass English, youth depression awareness, creativity and innovation, leadership, new and emerging technologies, financial literacy, information and communication technologies, special education support teachers (vision), technology in rural and remote, early childhood, Chinese language, history and vocational education for school and TAFE teachers.

All school teachers and TAFE NSW teachers should plan for their study tours to occur between the period from the 1 January 2016 and 30 June 2016.


Premier's Adobe Information and Communication Technologies Scholarship (DOC 1.47MB)

One (1) scholarship of $15,000 will be awarded to a teacher in a school or a TAFE NSW Institute to study information and communication technologies.


Premier's Anika Foundation Youth Depression Awareness Scholarships (DOC 1.53MB)

Up to two (2) scholarships of $15,000 depending on the originality of the projects will be awarded for Head Teachers Student Welfare, teachers and school counsellors teaching students at risk of youth depression in schools and TAFE NSW Institutes.


Premier's Australian Association of Special Education NSW Chapter Research to Practice Special Education Scholarship (DOC 1.50MB)

One (1) scholarship of $10,000 will be awarded to support a special education teacher in a school or TAFE NSW Institute.


Premier's Commonwealth Bank Vocational Education Scholarship (DOC 1.44MB)

One (1) scholarship of $15,000 will be awarded to a teacher in a school.


Premier's Copyright Agency Creativity and Innovation Scholarship (DOC 1.65MB)

One (1) scholarship of $15,000 will be awarded to a teacher in a primary or secondary school or a TAFE NSW Institute.


Premier's Early Childhood Education Council Early Childhood Scholarship (DOC1.50MB)

One (1) scholarship of $10,000 will be awarded to a teacher in a pre-school, primary school or a TAFE NSW Institute.


Premier's English Teachers Association English Scholarship (DOC 1.42MB)

One (1) scholarship of $10,000 will be awarded to a teacher of English in a secondary school or a TAFE NSW Institute.


Premier's First State Super Financial Literacy Scholarship (DOC 1.42MB)

One (1) scholarship of $15,000 will be awarded to a teacher in a primary or secondary school or a TAFE NSW Institute.


Premier's HTA History Scholarships (DOC 2.86MB)

Two (2) scholarships of $10,000 are available for teachers of History in a primary or secondary school or a TAFE NSW Institute.


Premier's Kingold Chinese Language Teacher Scholarship (DOC 1.83MB)

One (1) scholarship of $15,000 will be awarded to a teacher of Chinese Language in a primary or a secondary school or a TAFE NSW Institute.


Premier's IOOF Centre for Educational and Medical Research Itinerant Support Teacher (Vision) Scholarship (DOC 1.60MB)

One (1) scholarship of $15,000 for an itinerant support teacher (vision) P-12 or TAFE NSW Institute.


Premier's Masterton Homes Special Education Scholarship (DOC 1.93MB)

One (1) scholarship of $15,000 will be awarded to a special education teacher in a primary or secondary school or a TAFE NSW Institute.


Premier's PwC Leadership Scholarship (DOC 1.56MB)

One (1) scholarship of $15,000 will be awarded to a teacher in a pre-school, primary or secondary school or a TAFE NSW Institute.


Premier's Samsung Technology in Rural and Remote Schools Scholarship (DOC 0.15MB)

One (1) scholarship of $15,000 will be awarded to a teacher in a pre-school, primary or secondary school or a TAFE NSW Institute.


Premier's TAFE Scholarships (DOC 2.84MB)

Two (2) scholarships of $10,000 will be awarded to TAFE NSW teachers.


Premier's Teachers Mutual Bank New and Emerging Technologies Scholarship (DOC 1.45MB)

One (1) scholarship of $15.000 will be awarded to a teacher in a pre-school, primary or secondary school or a TAFE NSW Institute.


Applications for the NSW Premier's Teachers Scholarships close on Friday 1 May 2015. The secretariat will also be able to provide assistance in identifying a subject specific critical mentor for you to discuss your application.

Assistance is available to help applicants prepare an application for a Premier's Teacher Scholarship. Teachers can register their interest via My PL@Edu Course Code RG00158. This DEC course is registered professional development under the terms of The Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards NSW (BOSTES) Continuing Professional Development policy. For teachers accredited at Professional Competence, completion of this course will contribute 7 hours towards registered professional development. This course will address the following Professional Teaching Standards 6.2.2; 6.3.2; 7.4.2.
