Teacher and SASS exchange
Exchange Programs provide opportunities for NSW public school teachers and school administrative and support staff to work overseas and interstate to exchange ideas and knowledge and to observe different educational practices.
Participants exchange schools and personal accommodation with overseas or interstate teachers or administrative and support staff for one year, beginning in January or July of each year.
Who can apply?
Teacher Exchange Program
Full-time permanent teachers, including principals and executive teachers, in NSW public schools and TAFE NSW institutes with at least five years teaching experience.
School Administrative and Support Staff (SASS) Exchange Program
Full-time permanent or long-term temporary school administrative and support staff in New South Wales public schools with at least five years service with the Department of Education and Communities.
When do applications close?
Applications for the 2015 exchange programs close on 20 December 2013. However, late applications will be accepted as vacancies sometimes arise due to applicants withdrawing from the program. Please contact the Exchange Programs office to discuss a late application.
