The statement of business ethics sets out the expectations of the department for suppliers to act with probity in their transactions and explains the mutual obligations, roles and constraints of all parties.
Access the NSW eTendering site for current opportunities and further information on tendering for our business.
Suppliers can sell some products to the Department directly. There are policies and guidelines in place that govern the supply of these products.
Suppliers should refer to the Unsolicited Proposals – Guide for Submission and Assessment to understand how they are able to approach the government with innovative infrastructure or service delivery solutions. This covers situations where the government has not requested a proposal and the supplier considers it is uniquely placed to provide a value for money solution.
Contracts that the department enters into with the private sector valued over $150,000 are recorded in the register of government contracts, which is published on the Department of Education section of NSW eTendering website as well as on this page.
Search the department's schools asbestos register for information about the existence and location of any known or presumed asbestos-containing materials on school sites, based on advice from experts.
The NSW Government has introduced a policy requiring government agencies to pay small businesses within 30 days of receiving a correctly rendered invoice.
The Online Catalogue Guide (pdf 183 KB) outlines the vendor access requirements and category treatment plans and options for those vendors who have been selected to supply to the department through its Online Catalogue channels.
