The young at heart are being encouraged to get active this Seniors Week 2013 (17 – 24 March) and take advantage of the great opportunities being offered by Sport and Recreation Centres across NSW.

There's no age limit for a healthy active lifestyle and Seniors Week provides the perfect opportunity to get involved.

The Seniors Week programs on offer at Sport and Recreation Centres across NSW will help many people enjoy a sporting or leisure activity at special discounted prices.

The activities are very flexible and enable seniors to choose from canoeing and abseiling, to nature walks and winery visits.

The Active Getaway programs in Seniors Week also include tours to local hidden treasures, markets and towns at no extra cost.

Located in peaceful and picturesque settings, Sport and Recreation Centres are the perfect place to unwind and enjoy being part of a friendly, active community.

The Sport and Recreation centres run day and overnight stays for all ages throughout the year with menus and activities tailored to suit individual needs.

Seniors Week at Sport and Recreation Centres

Berry – Seniors Active Weekend

Enjoy a fascinating canoe trip up the Broughton Creek to an old Aboriginal camp site, visit Alexander Berry's homestead and sample the wines made on site. Activities back at the Centre include canoeing and a campfire in the evening on the banks of Broughton Creek. The weekend will give you a true taste of what the south coast has to offer the young at heart!
