TAFE teacher stars in Tropfest film

17 February 2011

The work of a TAFE NSW Sydney Institute teacher will be screened at the prestigious Tropfest short film festival for the second year running.

John Marsh, who teaches at Design Centre Enmore, co-produced and stars in A Desperate Deed, a film about a father who sets off into the night to commit a crime while his wife waits for him to return.

A Desperate Deed is one of 16 films shortlisted to be shown at the Tropfest festival, which will take the form of public screenings at eight locations across Australia on Sunday, 20 February. The event, centred in Sydney, will be broadcast on pay television.

Mr Marsh's directorial debut, Happenstance, was selected in last year's final 16.
