Schools Spectacular 2015
What started as a way of testing the acoustics of a new venue 32 years ago has developed into iconic cultural event that shines a spotlight on the talents of NSW public school students and is unrivalled for its size, scale and scope.
The 2015 Schools Spectacular—which takes place on 27 and 28 November—will involve 3,600 performers from more than 400 public schools. Fifty-one featured artists will be joined by 2,000 dancers and a 1500-voice choir.
The 2015 theme—This is our World—aims to capture the dreams and hopes of young people through the medium of music and dance.
The Schools Spectacular involves students of varying ages, cultures, skills and socio-economic backgrounds, hailing from country, metropolitan and isolated regions of NSW.
It will be the last time the event will be held in the Qantas Credit Union Arena (formerly the Sydney Entertainment Centre) – the venue is due to be demolished next year.
