Schools’ ANZAC awards now open

NSW students are encouraged to enter the 2012 Anzac Day Schools' Awards.

The awards, which are run by the Federal Government, encourage schools to learn about Australia's wartime history and develop relationships with local veterans and current defence force personnel and their communities.

Compton Primary School in South Australia was recently announced this year's national primary school winner with a project that recognised the efforts of 67 local Second World War veterans.

Entries for the 2012 Anzac Day Schools' Awards are now open and close on Friday, 12 May 2012.
