NSW Training Awards 2012

TAFE NSW staff and students won 11 NSW Training Awards, including some of the event's most prestigious, at a ceremony held at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Minister for Education, Adrian Piccoli announced the winners in front of more than 700 guests from business, government and the training sector.

TAFE NSW was recognised for its exceptional standards and scooped the majority of awards. In addition, Boorowa Central School in rural NSW won the VET in Schools Excellence Award.

Deputy Director-General, TAFE and Community Education, Pam Christie, said the awards were testament to the outstanding achievements of TAFE NSW staff and students.

"TAFE NSW is proud to be at the forefront of creative and responsive vocational education and training, delivering for current and emerging industry, employer and individual needs," she said.

The annual NSW Training Awards celebrate excellence in vocational education and training and 2012 marks the 57th year of these awards.
