New North Shore high school named

The new government high school serving Sydney's North Shore has been officially named as Cammeraygal High School by the Minister for Education Adrian Piccoli and the Member for North Shore, Jillian Skinner.

The name was chosen by the local community and acknowledges the original custodians of the land where the school is located. The Crows Nest site was previously the home of Bradfield College.

The school will have capacity for 480 Year 7-10 students, with 120 Year 7 students the first to start next year under the inaugural principal, Kathy Melky.
