National Trust honours heritage publication
A team of department heritage officers and staff from the NSW Government Architects Office have been honoured at the National Trust Awards.
The group won Best Heritage Publication (Government and Corporations section) for The Heritage Manual, which draws together information and management strategies to assist in the maintenance, preservation and utilisation of the department's portfolio of heritage assets.
The manual also provides information regarding heritage legislation and the processes and procedures involved to manage and maintain heritage assets.
The department has an extensive portfolio of over 570 heritage listed sites of state and local heritage significance throughout NSW and approximately 1,400 heritage buildings.
