Minister addresses new principals

In the lead-up to the start of the new school year, the Minister for Education Adrian Piccoli this week addressed the more than 70 new principals who take up the key school leadership role for the first time in 2013.

Mr Piccoli said the new principals were taking on roles at a time when NSW is embarking on one of its most far-reaching reforms of public education, including the Local Schools, Local Decisions reforms.

He explained how the initiatives will allow principals to use their professional judgement to ensure the best outcomes for their students.
