Local schools consultation process open

The NSW Government wants to hear from people about giving schools greater control over decision-making in order to improve teaching and learning, and achieve the best outcomes for students.

The Department of Education and Communities has begun a consultation process that seeks the views of principals, teachers, support staff, parents and the wider community.

As part of the consultation the department has launched an online discussion forum where participants can contribute their ideas on five areas of reform:

All the feedback will be used to help inform how the department implements the education reform.

The forum will be open until 18 November.
