High achievers recognised

More than 60 NSW public secondary school students have been awarded the Australian Student Prize in recognition of their academic excellence in the 2011 school year.

Each winner receives a certificate for excellence in secondary education and an award of $2000 from the Commonwealth Government.

The Australian Student Prize is awarded to the highest achieving students in Year 12 in each state and territory, as well as the highest achieving students in the International Baccalaureate.
