February 2017 project update

Progress summary

Since the last project update, and following the endorsement of the Educational Principles by the Project Reference Group (PRG), the project team have continued with the concept design work.

The concept design will reference the agreed Educational Principles and incorporate feedback from the investigations undertaken to date, information booths and wider consultation. Key to the concept design process will be to further understand the physical learning, social and living environments for the new facility.

Next steps and key events

  • Continue to develop the concept design and explore the school and boarding facility requirements in greater depth
  • Establish more consultation workshops with staff and key stakeholders to further inform the design process.

Community consultation

We appreciate your input and feedback. Information booths will be held throughout the design process to give the community the opportunity to view plans/designs and provide feedback.

To date, information booths have been held on campus at Western Sydney University, Hawkesbury Campus and information booths at Richmond Marketplace.

There is also an online project survey where the community can provide comments, feedback and ask questions.
